| Opening Muhring Room |
| Friday 16th July the Muhring Room was officially opened in the Connection1 and PinkRoccade building, Fauststraat 1. Muhring was founder of the Rijks Computer Centre (now PinkRoccade) and was also a well-known international chess master. He wrote chess books together with Max Euwe. During this special event there were various short speeches, a lightning chess tournament, Yusupov and Dvoretsky played simultaneous plays and the Irish band Des and Brid performed a live act.
